San Gimignano

San Gimignano is a commune of 7.100 inhabitants located in the province of His. It is famous for its towers, its medieval architecture unity.

Its historical center was declared by UNESCO at the inheritance of humanity.
At the origin, the towers were many more numerous, much were destroyed, as it was the case for Bologna, Pisa and Florence, where many civil wars and battles followed each other.
From the 72 of the Middle Ages, there remain only thirteen.
